Georgia Road Safety Research

Original analysis of public crash data. Every study publishes its method, its limitations, and the dataset behind it — free to reuse with attribution.

How These Are Built

  • Public data only. Federal and state crash records that anyone can download and check.
  • Figures read from the source. Every number is derived from the primary release, never from a secondary summary or another publication’s reporting of it.
  • Limitations stated in the study, not in a footnote. Where the data cannot support a claim — a rate rather than a count, a cause rather than a correlation — the study says so.
  • The derived dataset is published alongside the analysis, under CC BY 4.0, so the work can be checked and reused.

Journalists and researchers are welcome to reproduce these figures with attribution. For the underlying records behind a particular corridor or county, get in touch and ask for the research team.
